Happy Ears At Columbia Canine Cottage doggies are treated to an experience that is much, much more than dog boarding. It is more like visiting a family friend. We pride ourselves in creating a stress-free, anxiety-free environment for our guests. Our goal is to provide a boarding option that is more in line with how we'd want our loved ones cared for when we're away.

The guests live as a part of our family. They have access to a large fenced back yard (5000 sq ft). There is an extra-large dog door that gives them access to an indoor play area with plenty of doggy beds strewn about for lounging around.

A Typical Day

07:30 AM -- The Dogs wake us up! They take time for their first exercise of the day...either running around the backyard or wrestling in the play room.
09:00 AM -- Breakfast. All dogs are separated into kennels or rooms. Meals are prepared as requested by the owners. Meals are served.
09:30 AM -- Clean up after breakfast. All dogs are reunited and continue playing or start to wind down for a nap.
12:00 PM -- Dedicated human interaction. We make sure to get out there and give everyone love. Belly rubs, back scratches, kisses. Fetching for the fetchers, tugging for the tuggers, just basically enticing everyone to move around.
06:00 PM -- Dinner. A repeat of the meal-time task.
08:00 PM -- TV time. We open up the front room and allow the dogs to lounge about on the rugs while we take in our prime-time faves. It is a very heartwarming sight to see 10 dogs relaxing around the TV as if they were in their own homes.
11:00 PM -- Bed time. We open up the master bedroom and allow the dogs to sleep around the bed (not on it).
The dogs have 24-hour access to the backyard. There are times during the day when the dogs must be separated into kennels for safety when we leave the home for shuttle runs or various errands. These do not happen every day, and are rarely longer than 3 hours.

Boarding Rates

$25 per 24 hours. Prorated into 6-hour blocks.

7-13 Days: 10% off Boarding Fees
14-20 Days: 15% off Boarding Fees
21 or more days: 25% off Boarding Fees
